We want to sincerely thank you for your support and partnership throughout 2025. Together, we are continuing to build a sustainable, professional game industry right here in Flanders.
In our mission to further professionalize the sector, we organized 14 expert talks and info sessions this year. All of these are available in the Flanders Game Hub Vault, which now holds over 60 videos covering the crucial topics indie developers need to succeed, both on a company level and project level. This year, we also celebrated a major milestone: surpassing 250 registered developers in our network.
We coached 12 studios in our support program (bringing the total to 23 to date), meeting every two weeks to track business progress, unlock expert links, matchmake with talent, and help raise capital. Find out what our studios & partners think about Flanders Game Hub.
We also recently concluded our application pitches for 2026. We are thrilled to announce the new cohort joining our Support Program in January: Meepmeep Games, From Mountains, Funke Munke, Boop Games, Dovespire Studios, and Snowberry Games!
A positive development in our role as Flanders Game Hub, apart from the 1-on-1 support programs, is the increasing number of junior and experienced developers seeking guidance as they embark on their professional journey to establish game and game tech companies. This highlights the necessity for a centralized point of contact, a role now served by the Flanders Game Hub.
It’s been a busy year for the community. We hosted a VAF x FGH playtest, followed by the opening of Game Nest: a warm, growing hub for developers in Ghent. Our Show & Tell editions continue to thrive, with both sessions playing to a full house.
Then, of course, there was UNWRAP Festival. Three days of talks, inspiration, and... most importantly, great vibes! We facilitated over 1,500 meetings via MeetToMatch.
A massive thank you to our partners for making this possible. We also want to recognize the co-organizers who led UNWRAP: Digital Arts & Entertainment, Hangar K, Stad Kortrijk, and Wilde Westen. We extend a heartfelt thank you to Natascha Rommens, as this year’s edition marked her final UNWRAP in her role as Project Manager.

This year also marked a bittersweet transition as we bid farewell to Rik Leenknegt as General Manager. We are incredibly grateful for Rik’s leadership, which was instrumental in shaping our organization. As he moves on to develop new curricula focused on game industry entrepreneurship, we are excited to welcome Michiel Houwen as the new General Manager of Flanders Game Hub.
We aren’t slowing down. Here is what’s already in the works:
Whether you supported us as an expert, showcased a project, or partnered with us, you made a difference in 2025. As we embark on these new initiatives, we hope to continue counting on your support, because it will be instrumental.
We wish you a truly magical 2026.
