Last year, UNWRAP Play Day welcomed over 2,500 visitors of all ages for a full day packed with excitement: from adrenaline-fueled Rocket League tournaments and VR experiences to creative indie games, Minecraft, and SmartGames. There was something for everyone.
The goal? To introduce a wide audience to the dynamic world of the entertainment and games industry.

Idisen Gamejam
We’re incredibly proud to support the Idisen Game Jam, a powerful initiative by Merel Steeland and Goedele Godfroid, who brought together 12 amazing women from the games industry to create a game in just a few days. 🎮
What started as a bold idea quickly gained attention, with features on VRT NWS, Het Nieuwsblad, Gazet van Antwerpen, and interviews on Radio2 and JOE FM.

🌍Microsoft fired 9000 more employees, many from Xbox Support and their game studios. This included closing The Initiative, after 7 years, and cancelling the Perfect Dark game they were working on. Many other studios were also affected. reason: to invest $80B in AI server infrastructure.
🌍 After reaching 5.5M players, Lords of the Fallen is only now approaching the break-even point, according to the studio's CEO.
🌍 Important legal notice change for WeTransfer users: but the new user agreement now gives them rights to all content you send through WeTransfer and the option to sell your data. So maybe don't send your NDA-related documents through them anymore
🌍 The FBI seized Nintendo Switch piracy site, Nsw2u. The site previously hosted illegal Switch ROMs for players using emulators and hacked Nintendo systems.
🌍 Peak by Aggro Crab and Landfall Games sold 5M copies in less than a month. Keys to their success: Short devtime, replayable and co-op focus, low asking price (€8, but discounted to €5 at launch)
🌍 Subnautica devs are suing the game’s publishers after being fired. They have potentially lost
